Time of day & length of run. If you are going for a long run, start early or wait until the sun goes down. The daytime temperature and the unhindered rays of the sun can do a lot to wear you down. Running while the sun is high should be limited to short distances or covered trails. Your body temperature can reach dangerous levels with too much exposure to the sun and heat.
