Have Questions?

Is a plantar wart the same as a callus?

Callus is a thickening of the outermost layer of your skin.  While plantar warts often develop callused tissue around them, they have two different causes.  Callus is built up by your body to protect areas of skin that receive a lot of stress or rubbing.  As warts can be painful areas, your body often builds callus around them, but the wart is its own problem.
