How do I know if my child needs supports?

As a general rule if your child complains of "tired feet" or "tired legs",  if they don't partake in sporting activities or are generally inactive or if they constantly switch their weight from one foot to the other, your child may need support in the form of custom orthotics.   Additionally, some children walk with their ankles severely tilted inwardly.  If your child exhibits any of the above or you see that they are extremely flat footed, extremely out toed or extremely in toed, you should have them evaluated by your Podiatrist for orthotics as they may in fact need supports.
