Do you have a stubborn, dull, aching pain that occurs on the outer part of your foot, right between the back and front of your foot? This is a condition called Cuboid Subluxation.
At the center of the outer part of your foot, there is a bone called the cuboid bone. If you're active and participate in things such as trail running or walking and running on uneven surfaces, you're prone to developing a cuboid subluxation.
When a bone has moved out of place, a subluxation has occured. This is a very subtle condition that needs to be accurately diagnosed. At Austin Foot and Ankle Specialists, we see a lot of cuboid subluxations within our practice and have to differentiate in our diagnoses between a variety of conditions that can occur within that part of the foot.
If you suspect that you’re experiencing cuboid subluxation, or pain related to that area, we encourage you to contact us at Austin Foot and Ankle Specialists. We can diagnose you properly and get you on a treatment protocol to relieve your pain.
